You liked it slightly more. I did like its stylistic choice especially with using red and white. Definitely agree about the messages that would relate towards women. Pacing was a little slower for me. Not sure how much rewatch value it has for me either.

You enjoyed this one more than me brotha, I believe you’ve seen it twice as of this comment? David Johnson was great, especially the best character, Cailee Spaney was also good but everyone else disposable. For me unfortunately it did have a few pacing issues and I wasn’t huge on the ending 😂

Definitely agree with your gripes brotha! Going into this, Emma has read the book and she said for most part it’s a pretty good adaptation. I liked the movie and found it interesting with a narrative that’s a strong theme

Movies like this that try to balance tension and comedy effectively have to be handled by a true master of the medium, and the pacing of this film really held it back from reaching its true potential. It definitely has moments that will shock you, make you laugh, and leave you wanting more...But there is so much wasted time in the middle of the film that could've been spent getting us attached to these characters in order to make the conclusion that much more impactful. I think Zoe Kravitz has a future as a director, but this one didn't really land for me. Great review, Anthony!

Totally different to the first film. Entertaining but I won't watch it again. Two watches is enough ! Danny Glover pretty much held it together while being surrounded by some pretty silly stuff and over the top characters. The 80's fashions were a hoot. It was okay.

I really enjoyed this movie and appreciated what Robert Rodriguez tried to do it wasn't the best Predator movie made but it had a lot of heart indifferent kind of lore that we had never seen before I really appreciate your reviews keep up the solid work

More entertaining than I expected.The premise was fun and Brody and Braga were good together. Not the best Predator movie but definitely better than some of the subsequent movies.

I pretty much agree with everything you said on this one. Probably still my second favorite of the series (though another rewatch of Prey might change that.) I'm a big lore fan in my favorite IPs and as you said, the premise of the game preserve planet and the addition of yautja tribes, etc were a lot a fun. And the cast is not only pretty accomplished but none of their performances feel phoned in to me, feels like everyone was into their roles. I do agree, maybe a few less characters would have streamlined it further. Fun movie though for what it is, and great review as always, I can imagine hearing that kid say "Samuel L. Jackson" was hilarious 😆

I can’t say I’m surprised by this review. I’ve also watched Hellbender and didn’t like it. Last year I had a screener for their movie Where The Devil Roams. Same situation as Hellbender not engaging, didn’t care for the characters etc. That’s why I decided to skip. Shame you and Mike had to suffer.

Alien! Romul-Kiss-My-Ass.. WTF! No disrespect to the channel but seriously! This was rushed and not character fleshed out enough to give us the full impact of what's about to unfold. Not to mention the disregard to the cannon on certain scenes EG: Chestburster to Adult in 10 minutes WTF!

I thought this one looked pretty decent in the trailer. I’ve seen the trailer once and I’ve completely forgotten it. 😂

I felt very seen with Sissy in this movie. It was very cathartic. No, I'm not a psychopath. I'm a survivor ^^

I agree with you about the premise of this movie being cool. The Predators (or Yautjas) testing themselves by bringing the best or most violent people from Earth and from different cultures. Different cultures, different ways to fight.

The first 2 Alien movies are awesome. Felt Aliens was a great follow up to Terminator (1984) thanks for the review man. Hope summer 2024 overall has been treating you well.

What is Disney paying you?? This movie was full of awful and unoriginal dialogue. The characters and acting feel flat and uninteresting, and ultimately forgettable. This was literally Jason X meets Alien. And thats not a good thing

I can never forget about aliens, when hicks trys to save Hudson while almost getting jumped by a zenomorph before blasting that beast away !!!

im kinda mixed on it. the acting, sets, practical fx are all incredible, but the non stop call backs were almost forth wallbreaking towards the end. and the secret character i wont spoil looks very bad and has way to much screen time for how bad it looks
